Organic Jujube Fruit
We can’t get enough of the jujube at MotherBees. We’ll add them to teas and soups for a burst of nutrient-dense flavor or we’ll snack on them right out of the bag.
Here’s one of our favorite jujube recipes:Cook time: 3 hours
Makes 4 cups concentrate tea
Fill a large pot with 1 gallon water (16 cups).
Add 1 pound (entire pouch) jujube fruit.
Cook for 1 hour on medium heat, then simmer on low heat 2 hours. Mash jujubes and simmer for 1 more hour. Turn off the heat.
Strain the tea and store the liquid in an airtight jar in the refrigerator.
Before drinking add a splash of water (room temperature or hot) or a few ice cubes.
For an uplifting quick soup, add 1/2 cup jujube tea to 2 cups Brodo - Seaweed Mushroom Broth, add greens, an egg, splash of lemon juice, stir and enjoy.
