DELIVERY INQUIRIES

WHAT IS THE DEADLINE TO ORDER?

Thursday, 6 PM.

WHERE DO YOU DELIVER?
Currently, we deliver in the Southern California regions. From Los Angeles - San Diego – Claremont – Carpentaria and all the areas in between.

WHEN DO YOU DELIVER?
Tuesday / Thursday EARLY MORNING (12 AM - 6 AM) FREE
Tuesday / Thursday (7 AM - 1 PM) $9.00 surcharge if your home requires a gate code to access or it is not safe to leave the food unattended (for local Los Angeles residents only).

For your ease of mind, we send out reminder emails the day of every delivery.

WHY THE ALLERGY CHARGE?
In the MotherBees kitchen each dish is finely designed and handcrafted by our Executive Chef, and takes a good amount of time to prepare. We do understand major food allergies occur, and are happy to accommodate them. However, please know that every request requires a new batch of preparation and cooking. We charge a small fee for each of your dietary restrictions so that we can take the care and time needed to make you a beautiful, nourishing meal, especially catered to your particular needs.

WILL MY PACKAGE BE SAFE?
Once your MotherBees package is delivered to your front porch or specified area, we will confirm delivery by text and we will NOT knock unless we are instructed to. After delivery, we will not be responsible for any stolen items. Once the food is delivered we are not responsible for any food spoilage.

Our drivers photograph where each bag is left so we can ensure accurate delivery. At check out, please specify delivery instructions (access code, safe location to leave the bag, etc) in the notes section.

SHALL I LEAVE A COOLER OUT?
Even though ice packs will be left with your insulated bag, it is a good idea to leave out a cooler which fits about 2 grocery bags in a visible, safe area.

We will pick up the MotherBees insulated bag and ice packs on your next delivery day. If it is your last order, the bag is yours to keep!

ORDERING AND SUBSCRIPTIONS
WHY SHOULD I SUBSCRIBE?

First, there is not an extra monthly fee to subscribe. Second, the last thing you need to be thinking about post-birth is signing up for a meal each week. Our recurring subscription is set up for your convenience and you can skip a week or cancel your subscription by logging into your account. Additionally, subscribers receive a 5% discount off each package.

CAN I SKIP A DELIVERY ON MY SUBSCRIPTION?
Yes, in order to skip a delivery you can easily do so online before Thursday at 6pm to avoid paying for the following week. Log into your account open the Delivery Schedule tab where you will see all the upcoming deliveries. Select the delivery date you would like to receive your next package, and you’re good to go.

I WANT TO CANCEL
To cancel, simply do so before Thursday at 6pm for the following Monday and Wednesday deliveries. Log into your account and click the Subscriptions tab where you will see a ‘cancel’ button to the right of each product.

CAN I ORDER IF I’M NOT PREGNANT OR A MOTHER?

Absolutely, our meals are vitalizing, balancing, and nutritious at every stage on your journey.  Enjoy our food if you are recovering from illness, feeling uninspired to cook for yourself, or are looking for a hearty, healthy family meal. Partners, older children, grandparents, and support people also love to be fed by MotherBees. Order for your entire crew.

DO YOU CATER TO ALLERGIES?
We can only work with severe allergy requests at this time. Please inform us of your food allergies when you check out (using the NOTES box) and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.  All of our ingredients are gluten-free, preservative-free, and we use organic, pasture-raised protein (beef, chicken, lamb, eggs). We do not use any dairy except for ghee.

WHERE IS THE FOOD MADE?
Your meals are prepped and cooked in our certified commercial kitchen by our professional Executive Chef.

WHERE DO YOU SOURCE YOUR INGREDIENTS?
The majority of our produce is sourced locally from California farmers. We always choose organic first — it maybe not always the prettiest produce, but it is always fresh, seasonal, delicious, and nutrient rich.

IS THE FOOD SAFE FOR MY UNBORN CHILD AND WHEN I’M BREASTFEEDING?
Yes, we specifically design our dishes with ingredients beneficial to pregnant women and mothers who are breastfeeding. Remember that everybody’s constitution is different.

I HEAR MOTHERBEES ENERGETICALLY CHARGES THE FOOD, SAY WHAT?!
Yes, we cook the food with love and then bless it on the way out! We believe this helps give you the best healing, rejuvenating and detoxifying experience.

WILL MOTHERBEES HELP ME LOSE MY POST-PREGNANCY WEIGHT?
It could, but our main goal is to support you in your recovery by providing food that will help keep your body and mind well and nourished. And remember, you need some body fat in order to produce healthy breast milk for your baby!

WHAT IS THE IDEAL WAY TO HEAT THE FOOD?
There are two ways:

Stove top: slide items onto a small pan, add a little water, cover if needed and warm on medium heat for 6-7 minutes

Microwave: take the lid off the BPA-safe plastic containers and heat between 2-3 minutes.

HOW IS THE FOOD PACKAGED?
All our broths are delivered in 16 oz glass mason jars. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are served in BPA-safe plastic containers that are microwavable and dishwasher safe.
